1964 - 2017, 53 years and counting.......

Dammers & van der Heide Shipping & Trading (Antilles) Inc. was established in Curacao, in 1964, when 7 vessels were transferred from the Shipregistry in The Netherlands to the Netherlands Antilles (Curacao) Registry. From the very beginning the Company also became active as a shipmanager, ship- and cargobroker, liner and tramp shipagent, and which activities developed quite nicely since then, resulting in our providing services to many respectable and well-known shipping companies today.

In 1993, due to ever increasing activities in the shipmanagement field, the already active and existing Dammers Group Company, ""NASMACO"", was renamed into Dammers Shipmanagement Inc., and whereafter all shipmanagement functions, so far looked after by Dammers & van der Heide, were transferred to Dammers Shipmanagement Inc. Currently Dammers Shipmanagement Inc., as managers and administrators (financial), has some 120 vessels under its care.

Curline Inc. was established in 1995. The company’s sole purpose is to represent Evergreen Marine Corporation on the Island of Curacao. All activities related to the handling of import/export cargo, sales and marketing, documentation and operational aspects regarding Evergreen’s global containerized cargo transportation services are handled within this company.

On 27 December 2006, our name was officially changed from Dammers & van der Heide Shipping & Trading (Antilles) Inc., to Dammers Shipagencies Inc.  The modernized and shortened name, will enable a better branding of our Corporate identity under the Dammers Group umbrella, and will facilitate operations in other areas and countries.

For the same reasons as for Curline Inc., in 2007, Sealine Inc. and Dammers Seamanagement Services Inc. were established, to represent Seaboard Marine Ltd. and Seatrade/Streamlines respectively.

In 2011, Dammers opened a ship agency office in Bonaire (Dammers Shipagencies Bonaire Inc.) and in 2013 the same was done in Aruba, but under a different name: Caribbean Port Agencies Inc.

The Group now employs 42 skilled and trained people (including offices in ARUBA and BONAIRE). All offices are fully automated and we have an in house IT-department. We are “on call” 24 hours a day and we can also be reached via our VHF communication network.
